Position Summary:

CIS are looking to welcome several different subspecialty cardiologists to our established practice. You will join our team of cardiologists in our busy and growing WA and Melbourne practises. You will benefit from a well-established referral network, with an immediate referral base and full clinics. Working within an established practice presents a genuine opportunity for candidates to focus on building a fulfilling career in cardiology, without the added stress or strain of establishing a solo practice.

What is the arrangement?

CIS group specialists enjoy a collaborative relationship with the organisation. CIS provide a wide array of administrative and support services, including practice management, marketing, use of sessional rooms, administrative support, bookings, billing, and debtor management. Other financial arrangements can be explored for the appropriate candidate(s).

Your outpatient and inpatient income is your income; CIS group services are provided using an activity-based model, providing transparency and significant autonomy and flexibility for you to succeed in your own private practice.

CIS will assist in obtaining credentialling for Hollywood Private Hospital (WA’s largest private hospital with 860 + beds), where as an Interventionalist/structural interventionalist you will be able to admit patients and perform cutting-edge interventional procedures including coronary stenting, TAVR, LAAO, and MitraClip with the support of their world class cardiac catheterisation facilities and cardiothoracic surgical program. As an electrophysiologist, you will have access to cath lab sessions to perform interventional procedures. As an imaging specialist, you will benefit from a quality echo lab, and facilities to perform diagnostic, intraoperative and procedural transoesophageal echo. Your private practice will benefit from a large state of the art, well established cardiac diagnostics program with a referral base dating back more than 25 years.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians including subspecialty training and recognition in Cardiology.
  • Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number for the provision of specialist services.
